To what purposes do we process personal data?

The purposes of processing personal data are the following:

  • Executing the service
  • Documenting and verifying the customer transactions
  • Developing the service and business operations, analysis and statistics
  • Marketing operations and marketing surveys by Cotio and its partners, opinion polls and surveys

Personal data is needed for using the Cotio service. With Cotio, customers can order items they have surrendered at airport security checks (liquids, knives, lighters et cetera) directly to, for example, their home. For that end, i.a., contact information is needed. The processing of the data is done always within the framework of obligations set by legislation in force in Finland.

The principles of securing the data

Cotio does not process data manually and does not have a manual register.

The digitalized data is protected with generally approved technical measures like a fire-walls and passwords. Only appointed personnel of Cotio and of organizations operating by Cotio’s assignment or on behalf of Cotio are entitled to use the personal data file application.
